Daredevil season 2 is so good it actually makes me hate the first season. I think the show-runners realized all the mistakes they were making the first time around and did away with all the handheld cameras and focused on choreographing every shot as well as they had with the action scenes. The cinematography, action, and acting have all improved wildly. Plus I think the writing got a lot tighter, aside from the slowish first two eps I was hooked with the rest of the show. The plot’s a bit nuts, but I totally bought it. I particularly loved Elodie Yung as Elektra and Jon Bernthal as The Punisher. Great casting choices that completely won me over. In the show’s tradition, it continues with their long take fight scenes (including one that had me leaping out of my seat in disbelief) and they are wonderfully handled. Daredevil’s morals are well tested by The Punisher and there are great moments between the two of them where the show really shines. Thumbs way up
